September Story

September is my birthday month. But I always encounter with bad things in September. I can assure you that this year's September is really really something I never expected it to be. It all started well. My birthday was normal. A birthday cake from my bestfriend, Anis. We spent the day sending kids to Kak Na because we went house viewing. It was tiring and frustrating at the same time. We end the day having late lunch at Secret Recipe, just the both of us. And at night, we took some pictures with the kids, just for memories. It was a normal birthday.

Monday morning, 20th September 2020, my husband complained of chest pains and he went to emergency HKL. All his readings was normal and was given meds and 2 days MC. Then 21st September, during maghrib, he was going to perform Maghrib prayer when all of the sudden, he was unresponsive. I tried waking him up but fail. I called my mom and told my brother to come. Azim came with Angah who also live nearby. They tried waking him up too, but still fail. Angah decided to call ambulance. It took quite a while before they send ambulance out because they need to do diagnose through phone call and confirm whether its Covid-19 or not. My husband just recently did covid test and it was negative.

The ambulance took quite a while to arrive. We continue monitoring his oxygen level. When ambulance arrived, they asked me to fill triage forms and I didnt see whatever procedures they did to my husband. Zira came before ambulance arrived and took care of the kids. When husband was brought to the living room, my sister took the kids into the room. I was busy filling the forms, forced to fill the forms as fast as I could.

It all happened so fast. I cried a bit but more to panicked. I called my in laws to inform. Azim followed inside the ambulance. He took care of everything. Few hours later, my husband finally awake. It took him 3 hours. Around 12pm, doctor called me and inform that he's stable and will be transferred to the ward. That night also, my parents in law arrived with two of his siblings (3 of them are fully vaccinated and one of them is under age).

Husband's first diagnose is heart attack. And then after further tests is done, his diagnose changed to Pericarditis. After few days warded, he was discharged and given 14 days MC. He's still under medication and will continue follow up with cardio specialist. He MUST stop smoking and take care of his cholesterol levels.

My milk supply drops. I keep on forgetting meals. And many other things.

What a September.

Wasalam. Love, Nina M.
