During that time, I was still working at site as an M&E Supervisor aka Coordinator. That means I still do inspection, have to climb up stairs and conduct inspection, running here and there, means only one thing, KEJE BERAT. So during my early pregnancy (which I still havent found out I'm pregnant), I still climb stairs up until 15th floor, conducting inspection, checking worker's work etc. But I was easily getting tired. It was weird, because I normally dont. And I start having constipation. Normal days, I would only poop like twice a week but that time I go on 2 weeks no pooping at all. BUT I normally had these kind of symptoms when I'm reaching my period. So naaahhh, I said normal la ni. But then, during the day that I was supposed to had my period, it didnt came. I was 9 days late. This is so abnormal. So I checked my calendar again (since I kinda recorded every single thing, including ehem on what day yada yada) ; hence its very important to do so since it helps you track down everything. And yes, I rarely had period delay. So I asked kakya, prolly because I am stressful or whatnot because the last time my period was delayed was during my degree days. And so kakya came and gave me a pregnancy test kit (since husband is still in JB, studying) and I did the test that night. And it was positive! Feelings? Ermm HAPPY, EXCITED, THRILLED, TERKEJUT OF COURSE. And I told my mom. I had an argument with my mom before that since she sensed that I am pregnant and she kinda spoke it out loud in front of my siblings so I was pissed at her. Ego sangat amalina. So when I told her, she kinda happy but of course her merajuk-ness due to me pissing off at her kinda just gave me a meh stare. Lols. And kakya cried. Hahahaha. Because since I am the first adik perempuan dia yang pregnant after her so she's so happy and cant wait to blabber me with all information.
So thats how I found out I was pregnant. And how I tell my husband? I told him I did the pregnancy test. And showed him the results. And all he said was, "so pregnant ke sayang?" DUHHH OBVIOUSLY! Actually I was planning to wait until he come home then we'll do the test together but kakya said, the safety of the baby is important. Since I worked at site, so the news must be urgent. That week, he went home and we went to the clinic to double check. Alhamdulillah, its legit. I AM PREGNANT.
Feelings? Thrilled! Happy! Terkejut! (Did I mention this earlier?) Oh well.
And then there's me. Head always full of questions and overthinking thus creating problems that should never exist. 1. Nak check up kt mana? 2. Nak beranak kat mana? 3. Nak pilih gynae 4. Duit ada tak nak beranak swasta?
And the list go on and on. This, of course after lecture dari kakak ipar, Kakya reminding me on the checklist. But me being the gelabah one. Hahaha. Since that time I was working alone, husband still studying so I was like duit tak cukup. Because why, I gaji mmg okay but I spend most money on transportation expenses since I work kt USJ Subang and its so faaaar away from my house. So bermulalah drama.
1. Drama boss complaint I tak naik site.
2. Drama duit tak cukup, nak check up kat mana.
After I knew I was pregnant, I told my manager. And he said congratulations. But my biggest problem would be, my site manager, Henry. I havent told him officially though so it was hard enough since dia asyik paksa I naik site. But during that time, I have M&E Supervisor to conduct all inspections on behalf of me. Like I can focus on documentation only. So it was stressful. Yes. And then keluar berita my manager, Roy nak transfer I pegi HQ and do all work there whatnot. And drama after drama (you can refer to my blog posts) my M&E Supervisor, Aslam nak resign. Double problems. Even more so, I get complaints from my site manager cakap I tak buat keje (this was before dorang tahu I pregnant). So I dah tak tahan, I slow talked to Roy asking him to officially tell Henry. So the news is out. Amalina pregnant. Aslam resign. The end of the world. No one can conduct M&E work now. Unless documentation, since I keje dari site office je la, tak bole naik site. And I still get complaints, Roy said they saw me NOT DOING WORK, just play with phone inside office. And I'm like, well.... they just couldnt get enough. Tak puas hati. Hello, if I tak buat keje, takde la byk keje pending k. And keje I lansung tkde pending. Fair enough?
So drama after drama, Roy confirms my transfer to HQ. Alhamdulillah. No more Henry. He's just so kabut, I just cant. I start transfer to HQ on April. A month je lagi before I nak complete a year keje kt site but tkpe la, keadaan tak mengizinkan. Plus, my baby's safety is a lot more important compared to all those work experience. So yeah, at first mmg contemplating whether I want to be transferred. Actually, I have two choices given.
1. Pindah HQ. Learn about contract. 5 working days, 8am-6pm only. Nearer to my house.
2. Stay site USJ Subang, far from home, working 6 days a week, 8am-5pm only. I can request for HQ working hours BUT after 5 months pregnancy.
For the 2nd option, Roy cakap possibilities utk dapat tu sangat la payah and I was thinking of whether I still want to continue duduk site since its a long term decision. Bukan utk pregnant time je. After beranak? So after consulting husband, my parents, my kakak ipaq, I decided, okay pindah HQ je. PLUS time tu workload kt site sangatlah stressful. Dia mcm lagi bertubi-tubi makian demi makian I kne because of keje. It can be said that, keje number satu, amalina pregnant ni takyah fikir pun tkpe. Because they still expect me to go up and conduct inspection even though I AM PREGNANT. Honestly, I mmg larat nak naik site. Yes I do, but if anything happen, sape nak tanggung? So tadah telinga je la. Balik keje mmg nangis teruk-teruk kt husband. So bersyukur sangat dapat M&E Manager yg sangat understanding. Alhamdulillah.

Drama kedua. Nak check up kat mana.
Since Kakya mmg full check up kt hospital swasta, I really ran out of ideas of where to check up. If I nak check up swasta, dah kne terus pilih nak beranak mana, nak gynae sape etc. So serabut sbb busy keje and tak sempat nak pilih satu satu. Stress. And kakya bagitau, one of her friends, check up kt Klinik Kerajaan, but time nak beranak, dia beranak hospital swasta. So the idea pops out! I start on googling how to start buat buku merah. And yes my planning was bad. Of course, last minute. With workload, I kinda very occupied and listing out options and planning everything was totally behind the line. I might do another post regarding how to buat buku merah later. In sha Allah.
Planning I teruk. Because I banyak habiskan mc during check ups padahal if I arrange all my check ups at 8am, I would come early and finish early and can reach office before 11am and only submit my time slips, hence no cuti deducted. But no, I didnt do that, up until I was 7 months pregnant. Sigh. Jadinya MC and cuti banyak deducted during early pregnancy. Well plus I ada jgk kne bad morning sickness and I tak larat nak drive jauh pegi keje.
So dalam waktu check up KK, I google hospital mana nak beranak. By then pun husband dah pindah sini, dah start keje sini so rasa lega sikit. And yes, kalau check up KK,

Pros: Free of Charge
Cons: SUSAH DAPAT MC. Only time slips.
But since its cost saving, so okay je.
I narrowed down my choices of hospital to 2. 1. Hospital Pakar Al-Islam 2. Rampai Puteri Medical Centre (previously known as Tunku Azizah)

And the googling for reviews, calling hospitals starts. Oh ya, both of my last 2 options is because its affordable. Tak terlampau mahal. And why do I opt for klinik puan kecik-kecik cmni? Because its less pricey. Hospital selalunya mahal. Even Pusrawi. Even though they have packages, BUT what caught my eyes is that they charge you on public holidays and after 6pm for RM150/hour. So kalau aku beranak malam cmne?
So yes, I cari klinik klinik bersalin. Kenapa I pilih RPMC? Because dia dekat dengan rumah and terletak belakang cafe my dad. Hahaha. Also, RPMC is an all woman's staff medical centre. From gynae to paeds to nurses, semua perempuan Which makes it very convenient and definitely a plus point. And my mom told me her friend (which I also know) beranak kt situ and yes the price is affordable. And she suggested Dr. Zana Zalinda. So I search for reviews about her and her reviews was great! Almost none negative comments.
So I called RPMC saying I want to sign up sana and they asked me to choose doctor. For Dr. Zana Zalinda, you kinda have to call her personally and deal with her. So I called her, gave my information etc. But too bad, she has her clinic time and its during weekdays so means kne deduct cuti jgk la. But none of that matters also. To get the package price, you have to at least check up at the hospital twice. So after two check ups, I immediately sign up and pay the deposits. My review on Dr Zana Zalinda: Excellent! She's very motherly, calm and soooo nice.
Well my plan was starting my maternity leave on the day I beranak. So up until 39 weeks, 40 weeks, belum ada tanda-tanda nak beranak. But time tu I kerap kne braxton hicks yg time driving pun kena. And keluar cecair merah like old blood. So I whatsapp Dr Zana but she said its not time yet, dia cakap if keluar darah color merah hati, yg tu mmg kne terus datang hospital. But husband, being so worried, dia kerap suruh I amik cuti since its dangerous. Plus dh 39 weeks. And during my check up dgn Dr Zana, she asked me, "okay so bila saya nak keluarkan MC ni?" (Padahal time tu MC dh habis *nangis*) So if I take another MC, kne deduct gaji la. Sobs. I said, I tknk MC. I plan nak maternity leave once I beranak je. But doctor tak bagi. Husband for sure la suka. Dia mmg dah tak bagi kite pegi keje pun. So I was give 7 days MC. Up until the day I have to be admitted. And yes, I was 6 days overdue. Okay tu post lain pulak. Lol.
During check ups time dah nak due tu, kt RPMC, doc suruh buat CTG. Check heartbeat baby and check contraction. According to Dr. Zana, contraction tu ada and very kerap but its not enough strong. No wonder I still bole tahan contraction. So during 7 days MC tu la I jalan mall, minum air kelapa, to get the contraction stronger and makin kerap. During my 40 weeks scan, baby berat dh 3.5kg. And Dr. Zana dah suruh control makan. Hahahah sedih. Check bukaan semua tu normal. Butttt tak suka. Honestly, I penah kne check bukaan dgn doctor lain jgk but tbh, Dr Zana check bukaan sangat lahhhhh calming. I mean, its mild discomfort?
Lol I seriously need to do another post regarding my check ups kt KK and RPMC towards my due date. And I really want to blog it out for future (myself) reading. Since kite banyak urat putus I get so forgetful nowadays. Hahahah.

Actually, bila kite dah check up kt RPMC, bole je terminate kt KK punya, but they will still follow up by calling you but I still continue dgn KK since I belum dapat tetanus injection for 2nd dose and time tu still fikir nak jimat duit lg hahaha. So I go for both check ups. KK and RPMC. Tkde masalah pun. Sbb Dr Zana still refer to buku merah every single time I pegi check up. So sebenarnye, its doable. But I tell you, check up KK mmg bagus. I dont know tempat lain cmne but my area which is Setiawangsa / Keramat is okay sangat. Well mmg ramai, but dorg are very concerned about pregnant ladies. Tak semua government staff are bad though. KK Keramat / Setiawangsa is one of a good example la. For me.
And for KK, lepas kite beranak, dia akan suruh kite hantar buku merah kt KK and inform yg kite dah beranak sbb dorang nk buat trip ke rumah kite. Nak check kuning baby. And check jahitan kite. Yes, dorang akan follow up until anak kite lahir. Then kalau kite nak continue amik vaccination anak kt KK pun, dia suruh buat buku anak pulak. Plus points, buku merah and buku anak adalah sangat informative. Plus, vaccination anak pun free. And dorang jarang habis stock vaccination. Which is sangat bagus. But still, no MC. Kne amik cuti. Hahaha.
So I guess I will continue my posts on my delivery journey in another post. This one too long already and it took me an hour to write all this. Hahah.
I hope all this are very informative to you.
